Privacy Notice — Expression of Interest
This form collects expressions of interest only. It is not enrolment in a study and does not commit you to anything.
Who is responsible for your data (the "controller")

This research is conducted in connection with an MSc in Existential Analysis & Logotherapy (University of Salzburg). If responsibility for the data changes (e.g. becomes joint with the University), this notice will be updated before that happens.
What we collect and why
If you sign up, we store:
- your name,
- your email address,
- your professional role (e.g. psychotherapist, counsellor, in training),
- your country.
We use this only to contact you with information about the planned study and to invite you (if you wish) to take part once it is ready. We will not add you to any marketing list or use your details for any other purpose.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the consent box and confirming via the email we send you (double opt-in). You can withdraw it at any time (see below).
Who can see it / where it is stored
Your details are stored in MailerLite (MailerLite Limited, an EU-based provider), which processes the data on our behalf under a data-processing agreement. No one outside this research receives your details. As the controller is based in Canada, your data may be accessed from outside the EEA; it is handled under this notice and applicable safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until the study's recruitment phase ends or you ask us to delete them — and in any case no longer than 24 months after you sign up confirm retention. After that, or on request, they are deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time (every email includes an unsubscribe link, or email graham@aestra.ca). Withdrawing does not affect anything done before you withdrew. You also have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.
Anything automated?
No automated decision-making or profiling is carried out.
